Ruiting Wang Wins Prestigious 2024 Best Paper Award from Dynamic Systems and Control Division at the American Controls Conference

March 13 (Doctors In Business Journal) - Ruiting Wang, a distinguished PhD Candidate at the University of California, Berkeley, has been awarded the highly coveted 2024 Best Paper Winner certificate by the Dynamic Systems and Control Division at the American Controls Conference. The accolade recognizes her exceptional research, experiments, and writing contributions to the paper titled, “Optimal Sizing, Operation, and Efficiency Evaluation of Battery Swapping Station for Electric Heavy-Duty Trucks.”


As a doctoral candidate majoring in Systems Engineering, Wang’s research focuses on developing advanced optimization techniques aimed at enhancing decision-making within intelligent energy and transportation networks. Her expertise lies in solving large-scale combinatorial and nonlinear optimization, as well as optimal control problems—areas critical to advancing sustainable and efficient systems.


The award-winning paper presents innovative methodologies for optimizing battery swapping stations specifically designed for electric heavy-duty trucks. By addressing the challenges associated with battery sizing, operational efficiency, and overall system performance, R. Wang’s work contributes significantly toward creating more robust and effective solutions for future transportation networks.
